Time to 'Go Renewable'

As we adapt to the environmental changes on our world today, we all have to make changes in the ways that we source energy into our properties and premises.  We at DGI Installation Ltd are here to help you make that move.  We have over 8 years of experience installing Renewable energy systems into properties and premises.

With the cost of living crisis, and the added pressure to go carbon neutral, Renewable energy systems are becoming more and more in demand.   The
Go Renewable drive is incentivised by the UK Government which will help you financially to make this transition.

See below some of the many reasons to Go Renewable (the green light to a brighter, greener and positive future for all of us!)

The Committee on Climate Change target the installation of 3.3 million heat pumps before 2030.  This equates to 600,000 heat pumps per year installed by 2028

Under UK Government plans, gas and oil boilers will be banned from all new builds from 2025

Renewable energy is cost efficient - Its elements such as water, sun, and wind, are all free!

...and then, there are the environmental and social benefits, including:

Reduce water scarcity

Mitigate climate change, saving billions

Reduce air pollution and prevent billions in health damages

Reduce pollutants, saving thousands of lives in unnecessary health costs

Reduce our carbon footprint

Please visit our 'Renewables Info Centre', where we share the latest news regarding Renewable energy systems, the Frequently Asked Questions that are raised by our customers (with answers!), and more!  We will also keep you up to date with all the latest UK Government Grants that are available to help you pay for your Renewable project.

To find out about all the Renewable energy systems that we install, please see below.

Air Source Heat Pumps

An air source heat pump works by absorbing air from outside, and transforming it to heat by using a 'vapor-compression refrigeration' process.  This then heats the house, and hot water.  With this system you can save money on your energy bills, and reduces your carbon footprint.  This system is around 400% more efficient than gas boilers!

Typically the cost of an air source heat pump ranges from £7,000 - £15,000 including installation costs (minus £5,000 contribution from the Boiler Upgrade Scheme - see below), this depends on the type of heat pump that you select and the size of your property / premises.  We can advise which system is best for your project.

There are UK Government Grants that can help with this, including the Boiler Upgrade Scheme which contributes £5,000 towards the system / installation.  Click the button below to find out more, and how to register.

Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery (MVHR)

The MVHR system works by providing fresh filtered air into a building whilst retaining most of the energy that has already been used.  It provides a constant supply, as well as the maintenance of fresh filtered air.

The benefits of this system include, constant supply of high quality air for the occupants (removes polluted air and replaces it with fresh new air), it reduces waste, lowers heating costs (approximately 20% reduction in heating bills), and is a much more sustainable system for the environment - it is a truly Renewable energy system!

Typically the cost of an MVHR system ranges from £3,000 - £8,000 including installation costs, this depends on the type of system you install and the size of the property / premises.  We can advise which system is best for your project.

Solar Panels

Solar Panels

Solar electricity panels (also known as photovoltaics (PV)) works by capturing the suns energy and then converting that to source electricity into your property / premises.  A solar panel is made up of many cells of semi-conducting / silicon material.  When the light from the sun hits the cells a flow of electricity is generated.

The benefits of installing solar panels include reducing your electricity bills as there are no running costs, there is a lot less maintenance than conventional systems, and last but not least it reduces your carbon footprint.

The average solar panel system typically costs around £5,000 - £10,000 including installation costs, though the amount you will pay will depend on the size of the property / premises and whether you want panels or tiles.   We are here to help you answer these questions, and can advise what is best for your project.
